View Full Version : Don Bluth Animation Tutorial
So after much time and many headaches, we've finally released our first animation tutorial on DVD. This DVD by Don Bluth is in the Learn to Animate category and is called: The Bouncing Ball.
This tutorial will focus on three main principals of animation: Squash & Stretch, Overlapping Action and Timing.
It doesn't matter if you are planning on becoming a CG animator or Traditional animator, The professional tips contained in this tutorial will help jump-start your career in the right direction.
At this time, our credit card processing company (unmentioned) is dragging their heels setting our account up, so we've decided to shamelessly offer our tutorial on Ebay.
The item is available here. (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130291602054)
You can watch a preview of the tutorial by clicking here (http://www.donbluthanimation.com/Animation/_Bouncing_Ball.html).

These are great! If you could also offer paypal support, that would make things easier as well.

Here's the thing though... The DVD's are in NTSC format; not to be confused with region coding. The DVD's we have produced are open region coded. I'm not sure what format Russia utilizes; it could be Pal format. If that's the case, the dvd tutorials will not work in a Russian DVD player.
All the tutorials will play in any computer that has a dvd drive installed.

I've purchased and utilized both of these DVD's as training tools, and I think they are tip top: Though the sessions are only about 45 minutes long per DVD, each is a self-contained lesson, with clearly defined objectives and a logical progression through the concepts. I was glad to see that there was no fluff - every second is useful information - all killer and no filler, as they say. Mr. Bluth has some of the greatest homespun sayings, it's very enjoyable to watch. I'm still trying to find that model of Seiko metronome, I'm sure it's probably an older one. Please keep 'em coming! Each release feels like Christmas has come early.
