Hey, I'm new to the forum. I am a comic book artist but I think there is so much for me to learn from animation. Animators capture movements better than the typical comic artist, hopefully I can learn from some people around here.:D

Welcome to the site Dano I'm new here as well:D
Welcome welcome and welcome Dano........i am so interested to meet with a comic book artist...:D
Regards,
Arif:)
Thanks everyone! I got one of Don's " Learn to draw" tutorials about a week ago and I have learned more from that video than any art book.
How is the club? Is it worth the money?

Well, it depends on what you hope to get out of joining Don's Club, really. I'm not an animator either, but the information I got from Don from just one seminar has already aimed me in the right direction. If you're interested in having Don critique some of your work and give you advice on how to improve your work, then you should join up. Also, there's a few Members Only video tutorials on drawing techniques, so again, if you feel those might be worth checking out. My advice would be, try it out for a month and see if it's beneficial for you. If you like it, you can always purchase a more cost effective membership plan. I hope this helps you decide, DANO. :)

Welcome Dano!
I'd say joining would be great for you as a comic book artist looking to improve poses, as each week Don crits our drawings live, & a very high percentage of the advice is to do with making the poses stronger & clearer. Don's a big fan of comic books & graphic novels & the topic often comes up. Don's world renouned as one of the very best Storyboard artists also, which of course is a very similar medium to comic book drawing. Its not only animations that he crits each week by any standards :)
Cool! I think I will try it for a month.

Cough. *Sputter* Cough.
Good thing I wasn't drinking coffee or it would have been splattered all over my room.
The Don's Club subscription is the best thing going for animation anywhere on the internet. Dare I say it is even...
Better than the Workshops.
Better than the Masterclass.
Better than the DVD video tutorials.
Seriously, all of those are great and well worth their price too but they aren't practical for everyone. I'd say the interaction you get with Don (and Dave!) via the weekly Seminar alone is more valuable than all of the above combined but then I'd be afraid they'd wise up and suggest we pay more to join the club! So shhhhh... keep it a secret but... Pass It On!
Of course, the getting involved and participating helps a lot too. Those that only sit and watch will learn too but like those who get involved, ask questions, post artwork and otherwise join in the fun of learning animation through Don's Club will increase the return on their investment.
I highly recommend membership to everyone interested in drawing and animation.
It's worth every penny and then some.
Note: For those interested... if you sign up for the online Workshop you get five months of Don Club membership free while participating in the Workshop.

Glad you decided to join the club, Dano! Again, welcome to the forum! :D
Thanks again everyone! I came in to tonight's seminar at 6:58. I haven't found info anywhere that gives me the run down of how it works. I understand that I watch Mr Bluth talking over the computer, but does he give out assignments? If it is anywhere on the site, then I haven't looked hard enough.
Could someone point me in the right direction? Thanks:o

Okay, here's how it works, Dano. The seminar starts at 4:00pm Arizona time every Wednesday and runs for one hour. You can ask Don anything regarding the animation industry or display pictures or videos for Don to critique in the weekly seminar threads. Usually, Dave or one of the forum mods will start a new seminar thread a couple of days before the actual seminar. Hope this info helps. :)
