I like this dragon illustration. Interesting design on the dragon. You could probably animate these characters very easily. Is there a story behind them?

I agree, very cool design with the dragon. I like the knight and the princess style as well. Has sort of a retro Jay Ward 1960's feel. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Owen. The dragons, more of a retro kinda look, simple shapes, glad you like it.:)

I'm currently working on a story for them, I've done some animating in 3d and I've story boarded some of it, and are trying different techniques with them at the moment. I kinda realised I need more work on all my 2d animation skills timing etc and there's no other better place to be than at Don's .I find that my 3d is being a bit limited by my lack of workflow so am trying to work out more 2d stuff before I hit the 3d. But am really enjoying the 2d its so much freer, so who knows what it will end up like. I'm really happy just drawing. Below is the url for the dragon stuff.

The dragon is very appealing. Hes hilarious, without even seeing him in animation. I like the "lock jaw", it gives him a lot of character.

Nice to get some feedback,I can't wait to have a go at animating him. I like the dragon,I look at him and can imagine him moving, and talking dunno If I'd trust him thou. Those eyes can be awfully deceiving:)

Deceiving? Really? What's not to trust about him? Very nice character, Richie. And no, I'm not just saying that because I'm biased! Your dragon has a lot of character, especially in his facial features. If you plan on animating him, I'd love to see it. Keep it up! :D

Cute dragon!

By his design I'd say you've got him ready to animate. :)

It looks like you've got the basic poses/moves in sync... bam. bam. bam.
You are well on your way!

The first thing I noticed that seemed off was with the screen-left character. When he is leaning forward he is off balance and without something to restore that balance he'd fall over. As that may be something already planned... I'll leave that thought there. At the end there is a similar pose that is off balance with the other character.

If you can get two strong/balanced poses in those two places a lot of the rest should gel.

Good job! (That smack is spot on! Whack! I felt that.)

Hi Rodney thanks for critic. I'll pay attention to the balance next time.
