I'm at home with my daughter today, She has strep throat and we are watching a lot of cartoons (I think I like cartoons more than she does sometimes!).:D I was wondering what tv toons you guys watch? Anna loves Little Bill, (I actually like the look and style of the animation on it). We also watch Avatar, Wolverine and the X men, Sponge Bob, Danny Phantom, Little bear..etc. I still love the Simpsons. I am mostly old school though, (lucky she likes the classics!!) Tom and Jerry, Popeye, Bugs and the Warner brothers gang, Scooby Doo, Disney shorts...etc. What TV toons are you guys watching?

My son and I often watch The Simpsons (yes, older is better, the fourth series might be the best IMO), or Futurama. He also likes spongebob, of course.

My favorite favorites were all from the eighties and nineties: Gummi Bears, Rupert (by Nelvana, on Nickelodeon in the mid-90s), Goof Troop, Gargoyles, Doug... And that's all before I discovered anime. Never been the biggest fan of that per se, but I enjoyed Fullmetal Alchemist, Monster, Naruto, and Last Exile. (First anime I ever saw, for posterity: Venus Wars.)
I always really enjoy babysitting my nephew because it means I get to watch cartoons with him. ^^ (His favorites are Cars and Finding Nemo!)
I loved watching things like Animals of Farthing Wood, this cartoon I can't remember the name of that was about a white bear, Captain Planet, Simpsons there are many that I watched but don't remember the names of but many I think were from the UK.
More recent ones I've liked were Avatar and I guess Futurama? XD Not really new.

Yes! Captain Planet!
I still watch that show :p
I also loved Pirates of Dark Water, Road Rovers, Gargoyles, Thundercats, and many others. Then as I got older I got into Pokemon, Dexter's Lab, the Powerpuff Girls, Cow and Chicken, Courage the Cowardly Dog... Basically the vintage CN line-up. Good stuff.

Favorite cartoons, eh? Remembering my roots, I'd start with the old Fleischer shorts, on to Inspector Gadget and The Real Ghostbusters. And to finish up, Batman the Animated Series, for when cartoons started taking me seriously.

Shows other people have worked on:
Mighty Orbots (hunt this down on Ebay/YouTube. It's never gone to DVD-crazy)

I liked Smurfs, Garfield, Gummi Bears. I haven't liked any TV cartoons in a long time...there's nothin good on.
I think Family Guy is pretty funny sometimes and I watch it when nothing else is on...but I don't like the artwork or animation at all.
There is so much screaming in shows now...and the scenes come at you like gunfire. I don't understand what's going on in 99.9% of TV cartoons.

Definitely love the Loony toons. Recently got the dvd vol. 1.
I like Simpsons. For me personally they were getting stale around 10th season, but started watching again recently. I have to say I have been cracking up at the jokes as of late. Maybe we needed the break ;)
Venture Bros are great. Got a dvd from a friend and I have been enjoying it.
I really like Fosters. Just has a great feel and some of the best use of flash animation.

Specifically made for Television? Well I guess that excludes the Bugs Bunnies and Popeyes I grew up with. Then I would have to say I love the Hanna Barbera early TV stuff (up to circa 1964) and Jay Ward. Today Spongebob always slays me when I happen upon it and I think Foster's Home is well directed , written and animated. Have barely seen it on TV; usually when we're away on another cable system but I purchased season I on DVD.

I used to love the Disney Afternoon with Bonkers, Timon and Pumbaa, Aladdin, Hercules, Duck Tales, Tale Spin, Chip and Dale. I also loved Animaniacs, Road Rovers, X-
Men, Garfield and Friends, Batman: The Animated Series, and I dunno what else. I had a lot that I enjoyed. These days the last animated one I really liked was Avatar, Spongebob is pretty funny too.

There are so many animated cartoons (and some anime too) I like…
But if I had to choose my favorites, mmm… well, that could be:
a lot of Disney series (Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers, Duck Tales, Darkwing Duck, Bonkers, Aladdin, Timon and Pumba, Gummi Bears, Gargoyles, Tale Spin)
Animaniacs (“Helloooooooooooo nurse”)
all the Hanna-Barbera cartoons
the Once upon a time… series (but I didn't like Life that much)
Albert the Fifth Musketeer
Inspector Gadget
Totally Spies!
TMNT (the 80'/90' tv show)
Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog
The Mysterious Cities of Gold
Cat's Eye
There are also some great French (I say “French”, but there are often co-productions between France and Canada… and Germany or Italy sometimes too) animated cartoons that you apparently don't have in the US (or maybe I'm mistaken):
La famille Pirate (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxdzKH8U7Mo&feature=related) (The Pirate Family)
Robinson Sucroë (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6nVoNgMaCA) (well, nothing else than the story of Robinson Crusoe, but as it's a funny adaptation, they also reversed the pronunciation of the name to get a joke with the word “sucre”, which means “sugar” in French)
Ernest le vampire (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PjXBLxRFi3M) (Ernest the Vampire)… Actually the cartoon is interesting, but it used to scare me when I was a child… and it still makes me feel uncomfortable today.:p
The story is quite simple: every night (I should say “day”, I think), Ernest dreams about his own death. Of course, when he dies in his dream, he wakes up, then close his coffin and falls asleep again.
Mmm… yeah, I think those are ma favorites. :)

I really like X-men series from the 90s for some reason. I guess because I use to watch it after school. Chip and Dale and Talespin along with Gargoyles are also some of my top picks.

update for some of my favorite classics...
Gummi Bears and Tale Spin in particular. I remember coming back from school and watching those.
Definitely Animaniacs!!! "FABOOOO" To me this was one of the first few in a long time that had the attitude of classic WB.
