Hi everyone!
My name is Tanya, and I am wholeheartedly in love with animation.
A little history: I graduated high school in 2009, and during my senior year, took a class in animation. That class had me solidly convinced that animation was right for me, so I sought to pursue it. I attended Manipal University in Bangalore, India, studying for a B.Sc. in Animation. However, the course was still in its infancy; while the culture was fascinating and I had an eye-opening experience, the course was not teaching me what I wanted to know. So after a year abroad, I returned to turn over a fresh leaf and try for art college in the US. Hopefully I'll get some good results in April. I'm currently taking drawing classes at Chabot College in Hayward, CA. Don't want to get rusty!
I love animation in all forms, but find myself leaning toward traditional animation more than anything. There's a certain feeling of the soul of an animator that you can really sense with traditional...that personal touch. I think it's wonderful! I would love to develop the ability to tell stories and express emotions with animation.
I heard about Don Bluth Animation from a friend; he really encouraged me to join up, because here I'd learn what I really want to know. I also think it'll be nice to get involved with a community of people who are just as wild about animation as I am.
It's good to be here!
