Ok so right now I am using a combination laptop/tablet for computer drawing. Unfortunately I'm having trouble getting it to turn on. So when it finally breaks I need something to replace it. I really cant afford to replace it so I'm just looking for something with a screen that I can draw on with a stylus, that either plugs into a computer or has a disk drive so I can load Photoshop elements on it. I'm looking for something under $500 dollars. Does anyone have any suggestions? Any help is appreciated. :)

Wow. No Macs in that price range. You can use a stylus with the iPad but it's a big chunky one that wouldn't be much better than a finger. Other than that, the iPad would be perfect if you could just draw with a stylus.

I don't know much about pc tablets, but they seem to be the way to go now (as opposed to the standard wacoms). I sort of regret getting a wacom when the pc tablets and cintiqs are becoming so popular right now =/

Yeah, I would like one of those Cintiqs but $1000 dollars is a lot. Especially since with my luck it would break the day after the warranty expires.
