Hi - I'm Doug aka DarkglobeX. I've been lurking around for the past little bit and have enjoyed the board & it's gentle fun enough to join to discuss animation.

I have done animation and film in college, but I've been out of it for awhile now. I don't know perse that I'll get back in immediately, but I look forward to making fun threads about animation here.

As for Mr. Bluth's career, I've seen a ton of his stuff. NIHM was a favorite book growing up, so I was excited to see the feature film. I'm nuts over Dragon's Lair and Space Ace (beating them both in the arcade). I thought Titan A.E. was okay too, as was Anastasia. I actually joined the Don Bluth Fan Club in the early 80's, and I still have all my newsletters and the little snip of film from NIHM that came in the package.

Hi Doug,

Welcome to the forums. NIMH is my favorite story as well. Check out SCAD's website for ton's of NIMH art (http://ecollections.scad.edu/iii/cpro/CollectionViewPage.external?lang=eng&sp=1000004&sp=2&suite=def). There's a live video seminar today if you want to become a Don's Club member. I'm sure Don would love to hear from you.

Thx! I appreciate the well-wishing, though I don't have the $$$ to do the Don's Club thing. Maybe one day...
