Glad you like the link Rodney. I wish I had that type of acting ability too. She has "it" as Steve Martin says in the movie BoFinger. I really like how all the principals of animation are present but she calls them by different names.I think animation actually has more in common with mime then with acting because in mime and animation the forces at work have to congured up from mid air. I dont even know if that makes sense? haha oh well into the void of learning i go.Have a good day Rodney.

I had an acting course at school with a heavy mime component, which also included physical things like juggling, stage fighting, mask play, and an introduction to Commedia del'Arte. Great stuff, great teacher, and extremely useful for animators. For some reason, it was replaced by a more generic acting course, which isn't half as useful...

That sounds like a really cool class Eezacque fighting, juggling masks and mime alot of subjects. It sounds like a lot of fun and a big help when it comes to animation . Great to hear your insight on how it was a good class for animation. Can I ask what an introduction to Commedia del'Arte was? Thankyou Eezacque

I learned how to juggle (a little) but it was mostly to impress a girl.
That did not work out as well as I had hoped.

Can I ask what an introduction to Commedia del'Arte was?

It was about the typical characters in Commedia del'Arte, like Pantalone, Harlequin and Brighella, and typical situations, like the chase, where everybody is looking for someone else, and how Commedia del'Arte is still visible in our modern sitcom.
