Seeing this summer as a great oppertunity for intensive drawing practice, I searched all over the web for places that offer classes specifically in:

-Figure Drawing
-Animation (Traditional)
-Character Design
-Background Design
-Coloring
*and others not limited to these suggestions

I realize that ALL of this is not possible for one summer so I am pacing myself, it's just that it's a bit difficult to handle practicing my drawing, and my schoolwork (I have some catching up to do). Heck, I even find myself doodling in class sometimes! But I guess what I'm saying is...what would be logical to start with? I realize that figure drawing may not be an immediate possibility since they only seem open to adults, most likely due to the nudity of live models. AND i don't really think i'm ready for animation yet, I still feel like I need to get a good sense of drawing characters in any position desired for the situation...and drawing them WELL.
Still planning to get supplies and some useful books on my birthday so that's a start. So until then, I'll draw whenever I can, and with your help, find out which path is right for me.*

*Been told many times there are multiple paths to one's goal, just gotta find the one that fits the glove.

Thank you and good day, I'll be waiting dilligently for your responses :)

Sorry about this but I just had to get back to you after checking out some of these sites, and I especially had my eye on Kinetic school of animation, despite the price. I noticed that the minimum age is 18 to take these classes and by law I am a minor. I realize they have to do this for obvious reasons but is there a way to get around this without getting into any legal trouble? Would it be possible for me to take the classes under a parent's name if they agreed to pay?

Well I guess I could give it a shot, but then I'd probably have to find a way to earn some money (part-time job?) But seriously thanks for all your help, you've been of great use to me. And yes I shall look into that $20 option, very reasonable indeed.
