The goal of the character animator is to make three dimensional drawings with two dimensional design. Classical animation strives to create a caricatured world based on the real world. Our drawings are not realistic but caricatured and romantic. The more believable this animation world is, the more credible we are in telling stories. With that in mind, the drawings have to look solid. I like to think of a piece of paper as a cube and my drawings as three dimensional figures in the cube. With that mindset, my work will become more solid.

Hi Arif, thanks for sharing your work. Just to let you know, this is an area for posting about yourself so we know who you are. Please try not to post multiple threads since one is enough. If you like, you're more than welcome to start another in the gallery (http://www.donbluthanimation.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=15) section with your artwork. Don is very busy working on new tutorial videos and the cyber garage project so he may not have time to respond to every question. If you like to ask him something specific about your drawings, Don's club members have a weekly 1 hour session (http://www.donbluthanimation.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=11) and you can share anything then. I'd recommend watching Don's site videos and really take time to digest his critiques. Hope that helps you out and if you need any more help, don't be afraid to ask the moderators or other users. Welcome to the board and have fun learning!
