Hey guys!

I'm new here and thought I'd drop a mention about a free pencil testing program I've been using. I apologize if this has already been mentioned :)

I've been using this for a few years now, for traditional animation and I am able to set up my webcam to capture for it. Pretty handy and free! I used Digicel FlipBook back in college. MonkeyJam was a little differently set up so it took me a bit to get used to how it works but it's not really any harder than FlipBook was.

Yeah. MonkeyJam is a great open-source choice for pencil tests. Unfortunately for me at least, when I do a preview scan using my new Brother multifunction 11x17 printer with ADF, I get an error, so I don't use that anymore for pencil tests. Since MonkeyJam only scans up to NTSC SD resolution, its not the best choice you want high resoultion scans of your drawings. It's mainly for pencil tests. I would bring back my old rostrum camera rig that I purchased from Lightfoot Ltd., but it's incredibly cumbersome and I would not want to shrink my room anymore than it is now, if you know what I mean. Just thought I'd give my own two cents there.

Cheers.

Le Donomateur,

One thing you could try is to scan all your drawings on the Brother 11 x 17 scanner , save those scans to a folder , then open MonkeyJam and Import the image sequence of all the scans into MonkeyJam .

Does that work ?
