For the most part, many of the active forum users here appreciate hand drawn animation. Traditional animation has been Don's legacy and he would like to carry on the knowledge and the techniques that are unique to that medium. Everything can be applied to CG animation and some of the best CG artists started off as hand drawn animators. If you can, take a break from the computer, put pencil to paper since it will give you a more complete understanding of Don's tutorials and videos.
