When I first started playing with hand drawn animation I made my own "peg bar" with all round pegs and used a 3 ring binder type paper punch. All of the studios I had worked for later used the "Acme" style pegs. I understand this was common for the west coast of the USA whereas the "Oxberry" style was common on the east coast.
I was surprised today to find out that an all-round-peg style was used at a branch of Disney - at least according to the fine print in this graphic from www.cartoonsupplies.com.

This makes sense, actually, with the rise of digital ink & paint. Scanning or shooting single sheets of paper on a camera stand is much less demanding.
Another question: Do you use the peg bars on top or bottom? :)

Best way to get them is online. places like mentioned above or http://www.lightfootltd.com/index.php/cPath/27.
I have a metal acme for my mini light table and my disc has a plastic acme attached. I use mine on the bottom. I find it personally easier to flip.
I also by all my paper pre punched acme.

That is a good price and looks to be a pretty good light table. The peg bar is acme. So you would have to buy pre punched acme paper. The hole punchers for acme are very expensive unfortunately. I find it cheaper to buy the pre punched paper.
I am only guessing but it looks like he gets his disc from lightfootltd.com. I see lightfoot mentioned on the pegbar at least. They make a round hole peg bar versions. So that is an option if you want to punch you own paper with a regular hole punch. I would write him an e-mail first and ask about the round hole before ordering (if you want that one).
