I think last seminar or the seminar before Don spoke about paints for animation backgrounds. I think he mentioned that he uses gouche paint from winsor and newton. I actually just bought some on ebay. There are some really good deals there for paint!

Does anyone know what kind of brushes to use or brushes that can provide interesting effects?
I found this link at winsor and newton's site:

Just curious which would be good to start with.

I just bought some watercolor paper so I'd like to try it out.

Thanks fior the tip on where to by some of the paints Don mentioned. All I have locally is a Michaels and they do not have a big selection of actual art materials. I personally prefer Royal Langnickel brushes. I like these brushes because they are fairly inexpensive. They are easiy to clean. Tthey do not have stray bristles that get in the paint. I usually use round bushes but also favor my wash/shader (square brush) another neat brush isthe Aquaflo which has a twist off brush and you fill the handle with water. I do not know if these are the correct ones to use but they are my favorite and you can accomplish a lot with them.
